Job offered: Moodle Development

We are a training provider that makes use of Moodle. We need to abide by specific rules and regulations according to our educational authorities, like Service Seta, for example.

We have everything in place for students to attend class, do assessments and for the Assessor to mark their assignments.

With regards to moderation, we still need the following aspect added to our school. (Please see below.)

Accumulation of workbooks (Portfolio of Evidence):

Our students’ complete assignments in Moodle (Formative and summative assessments). They have 3 attempts per question to try and get it right.

 

We need:

  1. The ability to generate all 3 attempts of the assignment with the assessor feedback (2 – 3 different inputs: the Assessor provides feedback to the student by means of PDF annotations, or in text boxes with a typed message that does not form part of the PDF annotations)
  2. Cover page of workbook
    1. Must be training provider branding.
    2. Title: Portfolio of evidence.
    3. Must contain details:

                                                    i.     Course name

                                                   ii.     Qualification ID

                                                 iii.     Student name

                                                 iv.     Student ID

                                                   v.     Student Contact number

                                                 vi.     Student Email address

  1. Last page of workbook signatures.
    1. All workbooks must have the student and assessor signature.
    2. The Moderator’s signature only needs to be on the sample workbooks that he/she chose to moderate.

Moderator Sample:

  1. Ability to choose a sample according to a specific percentage (must be able to input the percentage) of different groups. In other words, we may have three different groups doing the same course, but we created three courses. There will only be one Moderation taking place on all three groups/courses. The Moderator will choose his/her sample out of all three groups, or maybe four or five groups (the number of groups will never always be the same) etc.
  2. Calculate (report):
    1. All students that submitted out of several groups (These will never always be the same)
    2. Percentage of competent vs not yet competent students of several groups/courses. (These will never always be the same)

Assessor’s report:

  1. Assessor’s report will be completed in assignment format from the Assessor’s point of view.
  2. Moderator must be able to give feedback after the Assessor is done.
  3. This assignment must be accumulated into a pdf document = ASSESSOR REPORT.
  4. The report must have specific signatures on it, like the assigned Assessor and Moderator. (The stakeholders might want to upload JPEG format signatures??)
  5. The report will have a cover page with specific heading, personal info etc.

Moderator’s report:

  1. Moderator’s report will be completed in assignment format from the Moderator’s point of view.
  2. Assessor must be able to give feedback after the Moderator is done.
  3. This assignment must be accumulated into a pdf document = MODERATOR REPORT.
  1. The report must have specific signatures in it, like the assigned Assessor and Moderator and the Training Provider’s representative as well. (The stakeholders might want to upload JPEG format signatures??)
  1. The Training Provider’s logo should be on the cover page of the report.
  2. The report will have a cover page with specific headings, personal info etc.

What the moderator must see:

  1. Achievement tracking document generation: Is the student competent or not yet competent.
  2. Attendance registers
  3. Other company docs – but we upload this easily already.
