This module will provide Single Sign-On integration for sites that combine Dupal and Moodle, if the following conditions are met:

Drupal and Moodle share the same domain name (for instance, http://www.foo.bar/ for Drupal and http://www.foo.bar/moodle/ for Moodle);
Drupal and Moddle share the same database, i.e. both Drupal's and Moodle's tables are thrown together in the same database (this is possible thanks to Moodle's $CFG->prefix feature);
you are OK with requiring your users to register and login through the Drupal instance in order to gain access to the Moodle instance.

If these conditions are met, the module works straight out of the box, no configuration needed: just install the module, enable it, and you're done!

Moodle user accounts for Drupal users are created either on-demand at login, or by running an included script (ideally as a cron job).

ForumNG (Activity Module)

ForumNG is an alternative forum for Moodle 1.9, developed by the Open University.

It sits alongside the existing Moodle forum and is completely independent; you can set up new forums using either system.

The forum has some additional features (and just a few that are still missing, such as most of the forum types). Here are some of the new features:

Advanced DHTML/AJAX (dynamic web page) support in the discussion page, which allows you to reply to, edit, rate, and delete posts without leaving the page.
Unique (single) discussion view which combines the benefits of 'nested' and date-related views; it is a nested view, so you can see the discussion structure, but except for unread posts (and their immediate parents), posts are 'collapsed' to a short summary, so you don't have to scroll through mounds of junk to get to the unread posts. Expanding a post is one click away.
Administrative improvements such as the ability to merge discussions.
The rating system has friendly star graphics and can be used for grading or without a grade.

Note: If you are using Internet Explorer 6, or if you haven't turned on the AJAX options in Moodle, you won't get the nice interface! Sucks to be you. Everything does work without JavaScript and in this situation, though.

Warning!

This software is still in pilot - both within the Open University, and in this community release. If you try it out, please try it on a test server and make sure you're confident that it works well before you rely on it for important use.

System requirements

If you'd like to try out ForumNG in your own Moodle system, you need the following:

PHP 5+. (The rest of Moodle 1.9 runs on PHP 4. This will not work with ForumNG.)
Postgres 8+ or MySQL 5+. (Some other databases might work.)

Installation instructions

The forum code all needs to be placed in a folder called forumng inside your existing Moodle mod folder. (For example, within your Moodle installation there should be a file mod/forumng/view.php.) If you unzip it into the right place this should just happen.
Once the code is in place, visit your Moodle Notifications page (/admin).

Course Re-enrolment (Course Report)

This report provides a list of users who have accessed the course in the past but are no longed enrolled and allows them to be re-enrolled in the course.

This was to address the problem with the default admin setting that un-enrolled participants from a course after 120 days of inactivity. Ideally the setting should be changed if you want users to remain attached to a course even if they are no longer active ... but just in case you missed it this report should help.

I've listed it as 1.9 or later, but should work on 1.7 and 1.8 versions as well - I just haven't tested it on those versions.

Install instructions:

Download zip file
Unzip in course/report/
Visit the Notifications page of your moodle site

There will now be a new report listed in Course Administration > Reports

Introduction

This plugin is designed for courses involving programming assignments. It can automatically grade programming assignments. Use libsandbox to filter malicious program.

Now, it supports C/C++ and works for moodle 1.9.x in Linux only.

Simple Google Search

This is a very simple block that adds google search to moodle.

this plugin does not need any configuration its just plug and play.

To Install

Unzip 'simple_google.zip'
upload the 'simple_google' folder to the 'blocks' folder in you moodle installation.
then login to moodle and goto notifications, if you have done this correclty it should say that it has installed.

This report, created by The Open University, lets Administrators set up arbitrary SQL select queries that anyone with the appropriate permissions can then run. Reports can be set to be runnable on-demand, or automatically run weekly or monthly.

The results are displayed as a fairly plain HTML table, and can also be downloaded as CSV.

The idea is that this lets you quicly set up ad-hoc reports, without having to create a whole new admin report plugin.
