Edit: I'm guessing that you're referring to your comments made here about the Liip theme? In response to this, I went back and checked the Liip theme in IE7 and am not getting any font-size issues as you have reported. Perhaps you have set IE's minimum font size to a larger value than is default. I would appreciate any constructive feedback you can give.
Yes of course, i have just opened it in IE 7 again and checked the font size, thats OK. The theme is also sitting on the left hand side instead of the middle.
I will go and do some more testing, and get back to you.
Thanks for the great looking theme anyway
Paul
I also downloaded the latest Liip theme and pasted it over the top of my Liip folder. It still doesnt render properly
If it makes nay difference there is a browser error:
Line 46
Char 25
Error: Expected ')'
Code:0
Url:mylocalmachine
And I have attached a screen shot
Thanks

Paul - please try this and let me know what you find ... because I'm not having the issues you report.
Including the error.
great theme. I foundtwo small problems. The are no vertical limitations in the editor window. And in edit mode there is no distance between the edit symbold in the topics (see screen)
And, can you tell me what you mean by "no vertical limitation" in the editor window? Perhaps a screenshot?
Attached: Screenshot of Liip edit icons with AJAX turned off.
and here is a screenshot.

no its the same for me with and without AJAX, but I work with 1.9.
I've been running around in their demo page, and at the "download" link provided, and i've been lost in a never-ending circular reference for the past 20 minutes .. i click download, it shows me a demo page, i click "download themes' and it takes me to what looks like it should be a download link, but when you click that, boom .. back to the demo page ..
i even went to the Themes link directly at moodle.org, and i ended right back on the demo page ..
it's a great looking theme, and i'd like to give it a try, so if someone could please post the actual link that leads to a download, i'd appreciate it..
cheers,
-jeremy
All of the free themes are available by clicking on their NAME at http://newschoollearning.com/themes/freebies
I probably should have figured that out, but once the hover function caused the drop-down menu to open (which was pretty slick, by the way .. the nicest interactive drop-down i've seen in a while ... can I "borrow" that style sheet too? <grin>) .. I didn't even consider that the name had a dual purpose and acted as a link as well as triggering the drop.
(also because there are 2 obvious links in the text of that drop-down itself, so that's where i was looking to locate the actual theme) ..
thanks joseph for providing the direct link.
At any rate, this is a great looking theme, and I'm going to see how that fits into some of the learning portals I'm building.
cheers,
-jeremy

Dietmar,
this was present in IE but seems to be fixed now in the latest versions of moodle. Upgrading moodle brings that button to Liip messages too.

I tried to change different css tags (for example changed relative position of body#message-send or body#message-send input) for liip but this is in fact a problem of frame height in file message/discussion.php. Open this file with wordpad and
change line <frameset rows="110,*,0,200">
to <frameset rows="110,*,0,250">
and change
<frame src="send.php?id=<?php p($user->id)?>" name="send" scrolling="no" marginwidth="2" marginheight="2" frameborder="0" />
to
<frame src="send.php?id=<?php p($user->id)?>" name="send" scrolling="yes" marginwidth="2" marginheight="2" frameborder="0" />
and there will be no more problems with this button in any theme (until you upgrade moodle...)

I have downloaded and used LIIP theme, really nice and refreshing. Thanks for the good work.
I think you have missed the "form-shortname" class in your css files, which caused a little bit of reading problem in some admin pages. (Please see attached file for comparison between part of "site policies" page rendered under LIIP and Standard theme)
Thanks again : )
I took a closer look. You included only the 'styles_layout' from standard, whereas the style sheet that specifies the color difference in "form-shortname" is in 'styles_color'. So if you also include 'styles_color' from Standard, the contrast in color will appear and make the admin pages less confusing, but I am not sure if that will break any of your color scheme. Maybe it's safer to just add a "#adminsettings .form-shortname" in LIIP's own 'styles_color.css'.
I will make the change you recommend.
Thanks.
The Liip theme is great. Just installed it and it works fine in Firefox and IE.
Only thing I didn't found is how to change the logo. In fact there is no logo...
I would like to integrate a logo. How can that be done?
Thanks,
Xavier
The easiest way to change the logo is to replace /liip/pix/logo.gif with your own logo which you have renamed logo.gif as well.
If you have a different logo filetype and would like to use that instead, you will want to look in header.html for a logo.gif reference.
I have already tried this, but no logo.
In attachment the source of header.html used.
Perhaps this can help you to solve this problem.
Thanks,
Xavier

Do I need to do anything else?
Xavier
liip
I have deleted it.
Notting changes. Sorry to continue with this item, it would be great to integrate the logo.
In attachment the source of the page. Perhaps this can help you to solve the problem.
Thanks ,
Xavier
I think I have found the origin our problem. None of the images on the website are visible.
I think it has to do with the slash arguments. I have changed the slasharguments in the admin section under servers->http.
But that doesn't help.
The original image pad is file.php?=/ after changing the files the pad is file.php/.
is there a possibility to change the global setting of the site? The config.php file? If so, how must it be done?
So there isn't a problem with your great theme but with the global settings of my site.
Thank you for helping me to solve this problem.
Xavier
It is really a nice theme.
Thank you.
As far as I understand
the theme is missing icons for open and colsed folder of the site administration block.
Isn't it?
#shrinkwrapper {
width: 900px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

Hi Patrick
We have just change to your Liip theme and find it really suits our college image. thanks for all your hard work. I have 2 questions first is we have inserted our logo but underneath still is the writing "Zurich, Fribourg, Bern". I have looked in styles sheets and things and can't see where I can edit this text. Could you possibly point me in the direct of its location.
Secondly the text style and font size seems to be fixed at point 10. So when creating a label or HTMl page we cannot create larger font. HOw do we change this so we can have varied font size for Labels and text throughout our site.
Hope you can help
Many thanks
Scott
I too am experiencing the issue with the unwanted display of "Zurich, Fribourg, Bern." I can set it as white text on a white background as a workaround but would prefer to remove it.
Another requirement is to change the link on the small logo in the footer. I've changed the logo but it still points to LIIP rather than to the site home.
Thank you.
From the latest download of 'LiiP' theme from Patrick Malley's website (see link at the top of this thread), open up the header.html in a text editor like Notebook. Look for and DELETE the following code...
<div class="description small"><!--<?php echo $COURSE->summary //Retrieves Site Description from Front Page -> Front Page Settings ?>-->Zurich, Fribourg, Bern</div>
If you have deleted this line too (or at least the part written in red - see below) from the footer.html and it's still showing up in your browser then you have not been updating the correct footer,html.
<div id="logo_sm"><a href="http://liip.ch"><img src="<?php echo $CFG->themewww .'/'. current_theme() ?>/pix/logo_small.gif" alt="logo"/></a></div>
For this to work you have to work on the actual footer.html in your moodle theme's folder. If it's on your host server then delete it from the server and replace it with a fresh updated copy. Refresh the server and you should see it in browser. Ctrl + F5 should force browser to refresh and show changes.
Hope this helps?
Mary
I have not yet had the chance to update Liip to 1.9, and, to be honest, am not sure I will have the opportunity any time soon since my academic schedule has been quite crazy lately.
If there are icons missing, I recommend that you find what the icon is from another theme and placing it inside the Liip theme directory.
When I switch theme to standard, border is visible in preview mode.
I downloaded and tried the latest version of Liip theme from link from first post, the problem with border is still there.
I advice You to check if Your theme behaves in that way. Where shall I seek for solution? Which .css file and which section?
Thanks in advance
When I built this theme, over a year ago now, I used a CSS reset located at /lipp/styles_lib/styles_reset.css.
That file's first line of code reads:
html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe,
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, blockquote, pre,
a, abbr, acronym, address, big, cite, code,
del, dfn, em, font, img, ins, kbd, q, s, samp,
small, strike, strong, sub, sup, tt, var,
dl, dt, dd, ol, ul, li,
fieldset, form, label, legend,
caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
border: 0;
font-weight: inherit;
font-style: inherit;
font-size: 100%;
font-family: inherit;
}
To add borders to images, remove img, from the above code.
In hindsight, I realize that this reset interferes with use of Moodle's internal HTML editor and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
Hopefully this helps in the meantime.
Thank You!
Thanks in advance for response.
