I had not used MyFiles before. I was interested in using it with 1.8. It is not clear to me whether it works with 1.8 or not. But I recently downloaded and followed instructions in the Moodle pages on Installing Modules uncompressing files in the mod folder, then running the the moodle/admin page.
I need to know if it works with 1.8. If so, how do you set up?

We are in the process to integrate diva (a home-brew file management system developed here at SFSU, see: http://diva.sfsu.edu/) but there is no timeline yet. I don't know if Michael Penny is still maintaining MyFiles as he is currently working on a big project (using moodle) with Intel...
