Dear Howard

Thank you very much for import of categories.

I have a question for you or anyone else that may know.

I am using 1.6 particularly because it is term time, and I have a couple of things (moodle for mobiles, TUI) that are not yet 1.7 compatible.

I wonder if I use 1.7 to create quizes using the new import of categories, will the backup files thus produced be importable to 1.6? They will have data (such as that for quiz feedback) that will not be understood by 1.6. But perhaps 1.6 will ignore that information gracefully.

There is no guarantee that it will work, but it is worth trying becuase it might work. And if it does not work straight off, you might be able to make it work by tweaking the XML (perhaps with some sort of search-and-replace) between exporting and reimporting.
