Hi,
My apologies iin advance if i am doing something really stupid or missing out the obvious, but for the life of me i can seem to get the grade book plus version 2 working.
I have already destroyed one version of moodle installation on the webservers, and would not really like to do it again. I have just installed a fresh copy of moodle and it seems to be working fine.
i have created a test course and in that have created a dummy assignment. there is one test user enrolled into the course.
I have downloaded the new version from the cvs website but cant seem to get it to work. I placed the lang file grades.php into the en_utf8 folder and then placed the rest of the items into the grade folder. (i did exactly the same before with the previous version on my previous installation of moodle and it worked fine). but i can not get the new version to work.
When i click on grades after the installation all i get is a page showing me "Log of /contrib/gradebookplus_v2/lang/en/grades.php" ( i have attached a screenshot of the page that i can see.
please please help. i really need this to work, its esential that i have this working and i am hoping to really get moodle off the ground in my school, but i need this to work, please please please help.
thanking all in advance

Grades.php or Grade.php ???
I have worked something out, and it is vey puzzling?
when moodle is downloaded from the moodle.org site, the default filename of the file in the lang section is called grades.php and hence the name of the file to replace this is also called grades.php BUT this for me did not work, and hence why i posted on this forum, but noone could help.
i then for some strange reason renamed the file in the lang section to grade.php and hey presto it started working to my amasement, this means i think there is some file in the moodle installation or the gradebook plus v2 that is reffering to the wrong file.
i am no moodle expert altough can programme in php a little and have no problems diving into the database either. can someone help in letting me know where the peice of code is that needs to be changed.
although it is now mostly working (functionality wise) i have double [[ brackets around everything. that i see in the gradebook. The screenshot is attached, also some of the links do not work, they bring me to a similar screen that was in my first post (see image above for screen shot) i think this is due to somewhere in the code have an inconsistent mention of grades.php and grade.php
please can someone help me.
looking forward to someone replying
