Hi Fatih,

Please start by checking your server error log.

Enable the Moodle debugging system and try to repeat what you were doing.

What is the Linux distribution? The path /public_html sound odd to me.

Also, how did you install? Which one from http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Category:Installation ?

Hi Faith

No, you have to find a set of clear instructions fitting to your hosting environment (I gave the link to the collection in docs.moodle.org in my previous post) and tell which steps work as documented and at which step it started going wrong. Right now I can see only two files in your.site/egitim/: moodle-latest-19.zip with '1.9.16+ (Build: 20120223)' and a php.ini which is in fact an error message in HTML!

Generally, it is a bad idea to publish the real site name with problem descriptions in the Internet. The information is too tempting for certain people.

Re: I get an error during installation! help me

Hi Fatih,

The http 500 error is caused from the .htaccess (dot htaccess) file located in the moodledata directory. This file is used as a security measure in case the moodledata directory is located under the Document Root directory ("public_html", in your case), just as you did.

The problem actually comes from the settings in the server configuration file (httpd.conf), as they have been defined so as to avoid from being overriden by what is specified in the dot htaccess file.

To solve this you need to move your moodledata directory out of the public_html directory, like so:

home/public_html
home/moodledata

Once you do that, if you still get the same error, then you only need to rename the dot htaccess file (e.g. "old.htaccess").

Hi Guillermo, Thanks Thanks for your help.

i installed Moodle 1.9 to linux hosting.

When I click on some of the menus (example:network->XML-RPC hosts,Users->Authentication->Manage authentication) on the right side gives "Your session has timed out. Please log in again." error.

what should I do?

Help me, please.
