We are in the process of upgrading to 2.0 from 1.9. In our current version (using a variation of the Newbury College theme), we see a bar at the top and bottom of a multiple day event. In 2.0 there is no indication on the mini calendar that it is a multiple day event. I've included a screen shot of our 1.9 calendar and the new 2.0 (using a variation of Anomaly). Are we missing something in the css or a setting that activates this feature?

I remember that functionality from 1.9 and have had a quick look into things myself.
It turns out that there is a minor regression between 1.9 > 2.0 that is leading to the top and bottom borders not being shown. I've create MDL-32264 to see this issue fixed in the standard theme.
There are details about CSS you can add to a theme to fix the issue yourself as well.
