M2 Wiki doesn't retain html formatting for lists

Is anyone else running into an issue with the Wiki module using the HTML format? We use the wiki for stuff like keeping meeting minutes and in Moodle 1.9 the formating is exactly what we get when we edit something using the HTML editor.

But that is not the case for Moodle 2.x (we are using Moodle 2.2).

Here is a test case.

  1. Copy the content in the uploaded file (html_wiki_sample.txt) into a html format wiki (you will need to click on the "html" icon in the HTML editor tool bar to enter in raw HTML.
  2. Notice how the html content in the HTML editor looks the way it is suppose to:
  3. Now save the wiki and display the content again.
  4. Notice how the content doesn't look the same anymore:
  5. Now if you edit the wiki page, the html editor is also messed up:

What is happening?

Hi Rex,

I tried a quick search of the Moodle Tracker and found a report of the problem you describe - MDL-30470. Thus, developers are aware of it. If you log in to the tracker you can watch the issue so that you receive email notifications of any updates and/or vote for the issue to be fixed.
