Time to move Dropbox off "sandbox"?

Time to move Dropbox off "sandbox"?

hi folks,

When I last looked (July 2010), the Dropbox core team wasn't taking applications for new API keys for web apps... but they're certainly now doing it.

Although the Tracker item (http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-19168) is marked as Resolved, I've noticed that the plugin currently is hardcoded to use the Dropbox "sandbox"
(i.e. lines 35 and 53 of https://github.com/moodle/moodle/blob/ac582c3b2547816ac1f7695bba710c48840f0f98/repository/dropbox/locallib.php and the corresponding language strings). Is there a reason for this?

Is it worth submitting a patch switching 'sandbox' to 'dropbox' (I have this in a git branch)? This enables the ability to login and browse files correctly (although I'm still getting errors importing files).

Cheers,

Myles C

Thanks for the info, Myles. You'll notice Dongsheng has reopened MDL-19168 in order to fix the issue you describe.
