New question type: Musical Scales

Hello,

I have contributed a new question type that may be helpful for music theory instruction: Musical Scales. The respondent is given a key and tonic, and is prompted to enter a scale.

A question bank is included, including all major and minor scales, with and without a key signature. Answers are entered in a graphical user interface.

I'd love to try it. However, the installation instructions confuse me. Having uploaded the files, loggd in as administrator , what do i do with:

Within a quiz, select "Scale" in the "Create new question" dropdown menu

Where is quiz?

Hello Tim,

To create a new question, click "Turn Editing On" on a course home page. Then, in one of the dropdown menus that says "Add an Activity", click on "Quiz". Fill out the required fields and click "Save and Display".

This will create a quiz and show you the editing page where you can add questions. On this page, there is a dropdown beside "Create new question" - this is where you would select "Scale" and then configure the musical scale question.

I was wondering where i could find the question bank that you mentioned? Are they like sample questions that one could use?
