Glossary only on some pages

Glossary only on some pages

I would like to use the glossary but

1) It links into quizes and it would take too long to put NOLINK tags around all the questions, and putting NOLINK in the quiz header.html does not seem to do the job.

2) The glossary is too slow for me. I am not sure why, but my glossary of about 250 terms (a book index) means that the pages take about 25 seconds to load fresh and 15 from the cache. I am using ADSL. My textbook has about 600 terms in the glossary I would like to upload. Short glossaries are okay for content teachers but for language teachers longer ones are needed.

So, as a solution, is it possible to autolink the glossary *only to certain pages*, e.g.

Solution A) page with a tag in them saying "autolink to this page" (Ideallly)

Solution B) pages of a certain type e.g. resource pages.

Either of these would kill two birds with one stone. If users were aware that they are opening a page with a special, wonderful, auto linked feature then they would be prepared to wait. And quizes would not be linked either.

Paul Evans was kind enough to come up with a solution for this on this thread, by hacking out the "linking" code in each of the other modules.
Not quite two birds with one stone, but two birds with a hand full of stones.
