issuing partial marks (and I don't want to)

Hello. My quiz is issuing marks for incorrect answers on a multiple choice.

Question: What services does our Retail Division offer

1. flyers

2. consumer website

3. visual merchandising

4. credit card

5. online shopping.

# 1 to 4 are correct. BUT if the student checks 1,2,3 and 5, the quiz STILL gives a full mark. Any idea why? I want it to indicate 0 marks for the question.

Thanks.

Hi Aimee,

Multiple questions with multiple answers can add all the scores for each answer chosen by the student. So at the moment the quiz is adding up all the correct scores but not taking any marks off for the incorrect option.

Negative marks are allowed and these can be used to penalise an incorrect answer.

In your case the following grades can be applied:

Question: What services does our Retail Division offer

1. flyers 25%

2. consumer website 25%

3. visual merchandising 25%

4. credit card 25%

5. online shopping. -100%

This means that if at any time a student chooses option 5, they will get zero marks.

Haidee thanks very much. Truly. Here's another scenario, same question:

Answer is 1, 2, 3, and 4 BUT student only chooses 1, 2 and 3. The question is still issuing part marks.

I'd like it so the student must seletec all four correct responses to get a full mark. Otherwise, they get zero.

Suggestions?
