I would like to have possibility to subscribe to some interesting thread or topic but not to all the forum at once. This feature is in phpBB, and it is usually enough. still, when You log on, phpBB has ability to show * new answers to your posts/threads also very nice
not to abuse DB, it should be time limited, similar as You discussed in Read Tracking
