Other: MoodleSpeex voice recording tool

Requires: Moodle 1.6 or later

Maintainer(s):

Enables Moodle users to record voice messages (if they have a microphone!) and upload them into a Moodle course. Can be used for voice messages in forums, and for teachers to record audio messages into the course files area.

Please note: The tool is still in development. It should be useable although hasn't undergone detailed testing.

Consider me one of your testers. I am very excited by its development. I like Gong but it is too much to install and feels a bit "outside" of Moodle.

This is a great idea. Does it save it in as an mp3? or another file format?
Is there anyway of creating a live audio conversation in moodle using this or a similar tool?
